About the project

Created in June 2023, the InclusivePlanning.Org was derived from the Public Participation Handbook of Urban Planning for Ukraine, a joint project of the American Planning Association International Division's Ukraine Rebuild Action Group and the Ro3kvit Urban Coalition for Ukraine.

Merging with the Planifiquemos Project

In 2021, the APA International Division started a project called Planifiquemos to develop community engagement material for better engaging Latino communities in the United States and Latin America. The content developed by the Planifiquemos project is presented on the website. The content includes community engagement strategies and glossaries.

Purpose

The purpose of the project is to foster knowledge sharing and empower urban planning professionals and community members to embrace inclusive planning practices. The website serves as a comprehensive platform for the exchange of best practices, insights, and resources, promoting equitable and participatory approaches in the urban planning process.
